NO CHANNEL RECEIVED
This is as a result of no signal connection from the antenna to the decoder
Solution:
Make sure your Indoor / external antenna is well connected. You can also change the position of your indoor antenna or increase the height of your outdoor antenna, and carry out automatic search on the decoder the channels will be restored. If problem, persist call any of our hotline numbers and a service agent will be assigned to you for further assistance. (0201-4618888)
No Signal
Antenna Decoder:
This is as a result of no communication between the Yagi antenna and the decoder (Setup Box)
Solution:
Always Make sure your Yagi antenna is well fixed and properly mounted outside with the required height, and Ensure the cable is properly connected from the Yagi antenna to the Decoder for good signal reception. With this the signal will be restored.
Note:
The signal strength and quality should be above 50% and the BER should be 1E-6 -1E-9

Dish Decoder:
This is as a result of no communication between the LNB (DISH) and the decoder (Setup Box)
Solution:
Check the connection of the LNB cable to the back of the decoder.
If properly connected and there is still no signal, contact our hotline on 0201-4618888, so we can send an engineer to your house for immediate solution.
No Service
This is as a result of your antenna not getting the required signal from the antenna
Solution:
Kindly follow the procedures below:
1. Adjust your Antenna till you get signal.
2. Embark on AUTOMATIC SEARCH >>> Click on MENU button on your remote control, scroll to SETTINGS and press OK.
In the list displayed, scroll to AUTOMATIC SEARCH and use the right arrow key to navigate to the YES and NO option.
Select YES and press OK the decoder will auto search.
With this process the signal will be restored.
No Access/Not Subscribed
This simply means your subscription has expired or the account does not have a valid subscription. Kindly recharge by using any of the following methods:
1. Recharge your decoder through BHs (Business Halls) , Dealers Outlet, and Aftersales Engineers
2. Through OPAY , CAPRICORN , VTPASS , CREDIT SWITCH , PALMPAY , EXPRESS , INTERSWITCH , PAGA, MONIPOINT
3. Bank Recharge.
Smart Card Not Paired or Wrong Pairing
This happens when the decoder has not been activated, wrongly paired or has not received its authorization.
This is when a smartcard is mismatched or wrongly paired with another decoder. Please visit the nearest business hall or call our hotline: 0201-4618888 for immediate attention.
Decoder Fails to Power
kindly check if the power plug of the decoder is correctly inserted into the decoder power jack and if the other end of the cable is properly connected to the electric socket. Also, ensure the electric switch is on.

Auto Rebooting
This is mostly happening when a decoder cannot upgrade itself.
Kindly visit the nearest StarTimes office for manual decoder upgrade .
No Audio / No Video
This happens as a result of system error, wrong AV connections or Decoder problem.
Solution:
Please check the in to in cable connections. Ensure the AV cables are properly connected to their respective ports.
Different Ways On How To Recharge Your StarTimes Decoder
※A. USING STARTIMES ON APP

To use the StarTimes ON app to make payments for your StarTimes subscriptions or bouquets, follow the instructions below:
1. Download and install the StarTimes ON app on your mobile phone. You can get the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
2. Open the StarTimes app and register or log in using your phone number or email address. You will also need to enter your smart card number to link your decoder to your app.
3. Please tap on the Me icon at the bottom right corner of the app. You will see your account information, such as your name, phone number, smart card number, and subscription status.
4. Tap on the ‘Recharge’ or ‘Pay’ icon at the top right corner of the app. You will see a list of options.
5. Choose the option you prefer and follow the instructions on the app to pay for your subscription. You will need to select your bouquet and choose your payment method. You can pay for your subscription using your debit card, bank account, mobile wallet, or recharge card.
Make the payment to complete the transaction.


※B. How to Subscribe StarTimes with PALMPAY

Follow the instruction to subscribe StarTimes with Palmpay
1. Login to your palmpay account with your user details
2. On the Menu click on TV
3. Select your biller (StarTimes) from the dropdown
4. Input your smartcard number
5. Select the plan you want to subscribe (you will see the price, alongside each plan)
6. Once you confirm the bouquet you want to subscribe, click on NEXT
7. If you have enough money in your balance to cover the amount, click on PAY
8. Otherwise you can pay by using your bank card
9. Select PAY AMOUNT
10. Once your complete payment, you will need to wait a few minutes for your StarTimes to come on.


※C.USING OPAY TO RECHARGE

Download and install the OPAY app on your mobile phone. You can get the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
1. Open the OPAY app and register or log in using your phone number or email to complete the registration.
2. Please tap on the TV icon at the Top right corner of the app.
3. Input your smart card number, and verify your information .
4. Select your subscription period, you will see a list of options.
5. Select your bouquet package with the bouquet price.
6. Click enter and input your PIN.
7. Wait for a confirmation message on your phone and collect the receipt for your payment. Congratulations! You have successfully subscribed to StarTimes.
Note: Ensure that your Decoder is turned ON while making payment.

※E.USING POS AGENT

1. Locate the nearest StarTimes outlet or POS agent in your area.
2. Visit the StarTimes outlet or POS agent and tell them your smart card number and the bouquet you want to subscribe to.
3. Pay the subscription fee in cash or with a voucher. The subscription fee depends on the bouquet you choose.
4. Wait for a confirmation message on your phone and collect the receipt for your payment. Congratulations! You have successfully subscribed to StarTimes.


※F.How to Subscribe StarTimes Using Your Bank Mobile App

To use your bank mobile app to make payments for your StarTimes subscriptions or Bouquets, follow the instructions below:
1. Open your bank mobile app and register or log in using your bank details, such as account number, card number, PIN, or OTP.
2. Tap on the menu icon at the top left corner of the app. You will see a list of options, such as Transfer, Airtime, and Bills.
3. Select Bills and choose Cable TV. You will see a list of cable TV providers, such as StarTimes, and others.
4. Select StarTimes and enter your smart card number. The smart card number is a 11-digit number printed on your StarTimes card. You can also find it on your Decoder or the StarTimes app.
5. Select your bouquet, and the amount will be selected immediately.
6. Confirm your payment details and complete the transaction. You will receive a confirmation message on your phone.
Note: Ensure that your Decoder is turned ON while making payment.


How to Carry out Default Setting
HOW TO CARRY OUT DEFAULT SETTINGS
>> Press the menu button on your remote control
>> Press the Left button
>> Scroll and select settings
>> Press right button on your remote control
>> Scroll down and select Decoder information
>> Press OK on Restore Default Settings
>> Input 0000 as the password
>> Press left button
>> Press ok on YES.
>> Press ok on English (when it requests for Language)


DEFAULT SETTINGS ON STARLITE HD
>> Press the menu button on your remote control
>> Press the left button on your remote control
>> Scroll and select settings
>> Scroll down and select Decoder information
>> Press OK on RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS
>> Input 0000 as the password
>> Press left button
>> Press ok button
>> Press ok on English
